Fishing in the dunes

The tide has turned, and the tide pools are draining back into the ocean at Pine Point Beach. The conditions are perfect for a sashimi breakfast. Small sand eels are the feature dish. Have you seen these graceful birds fly? Cruising at 25 miles per hour, they glide, descend, gently stall midair, then lightly step down from the sky. This acrylic was painted on a wood panel as a companion to Egrets at Pine Point Beach, which I finished a month ago.

Fishing in the dunes is a 10" x 20" acrylic painted on a wood panel.
